Coloring Scheme Editor - Style Properties

The window is used to define the colors and text style for the style. It is divided into three sections: 'Style name', 'Background color' and 'Text properties'.

Style name
Enter a name for the style in this field.

The name should uniquely identify the type of code for which it is to be used (e.g. 'HTML tag name', 'JavaScript function'), allowing the style to be easily mapped to keywords etc. in other program windows when building the schema.

Background color
  • default
Select this option if you want the background color to remain the default (defined in the system). This is the recommended option and is set as the default.
  • this color
Allows any background color to be selected from a list. Several pre-defined colors are listed first. Selecting the last item 'Select...' will open a window where any color can be selected.
Text properties
  • Text color
Allows any color for the text to be selected from a list. There are several predefined colors first in the list. Selecting the last item 'Select...' will open a window where any color can be selected.
  • Text style
You can select the styles to be applied to the text (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough)
