Main menu - Help
From this menu you have access to commands that help you get help in using the program and Internet technologies. The menu consists of the following commands:
Check if there is a new version
This command allows you to check whether a new version of the program is already available. Cream Software news Displays information about interesting articles on the Cream Software blog. Yes, I want to buy a Spider
Click if you like the Spider and have decided to purchase a licence. A window will open requiring you to select how to order. Remove licence
This command works in reverse to the one above - it allows you to lock the software, i.e. convert it from a full version to a locked version. It is very useful when transferring software to a new computer when you do not want to leave your registration data on the old one.

HTML 4.01 Specification

Help
This command displays Help for the program you are currently viewing. The default keyboard shortcut is F1. Context-sensitive help
This command activates the contextual help mode to the elements of the main window. When used, the cursor changes form and you can point to the element you want to learn more about. The command also works on tags in the document being edited. The default keyboard shortcut is Shift+F1. Online help
This command contains a submenu for obtaining online help, i.e. on the Spider website. It consists of the following commands: RSS feeds
This command contains a submenu that allows you to display an RSS ( Really Simple Syndication) feed with the latest news about Spider on the bottom panel. The following options are available:
- Latest articles on Cream Software - displays the latest articles published on the Cream Software blog
- What's new in the Cream Software forum - displays the latest topics from the Spider discussion forum
- FAQ - regarding Cream Software programs - displays the latest topics among the Frequently Asked Questions about Spider
- Refresh current channel - retrieves the latest content of the currently displayed channel
- Display channel source code - displays the XML code of the current channel
- Load feed XML file - allows you to load an XML file for any RSS feed
- Configure RSS feeds - opens the RSS feed settings window
Tips and tricks
Displays a window presenting brief hints and tricks to help you get to know the program better.
Magnifying glass
Click to activate the magnifying glass. The tool shows a magnified image of the screen in the vicinity of the mouse cursor. Activation of dynamic attributes
Activates the list displaying dynamic attributes. For more on dynamic attributes, see the section on this editor function. Activation of dynamic hints
Activates a hint for the current tag or code. For more on dynamic hints and attributes, see the section on this editor function. Display help for the current item
Displays context-sensitive help for the tag or function within which the cursor is located. Context-sensitive help is displayed in the bottom panel on the Help, Documents, Previews tab. Activate macrocode shortcuts
This command allows you to activate the macro code shortcut function. Macrocode shortcuts are two-level. To insert a macrocode with an assigned shortcut, first use this command and then press the shortcut corresponding to the macrocode. For more on macrocodes, see the chapter on macrocodes.
About the program
Displays a window with information about the program version and the person for whom it is registered. |
